In Lyon, France, bike lanes stall traffic, encouraging idling

The translation of the X post above is roughly: “Two empty bike lanes, one saturated (stalled or plugged) lane for cars. Another beautiful example of escrologie.” Escrologie is a derogatory term for wasteful and damaging ecological programs imposed on people in the form of “green” legislation and regulations.

Readers did add “context” to the video, but their context only makes the inadvisability of setting aside the bike lanes like this even more apparent.

The translation is (roughly) “The bike lane in the Vivier-Merle Tunnel is not open to bike traffic (or cyclists) yet. So, it is perfectly normal that the bike path is empty.” But the context still serves as an open admission that transitioning the tunnel from vehicle traffic to bike traffic was completely inefficient. Cars are still idling pointlessly in the tunnel because one lane has been blocked (whether bicyclists have begun using the tunnel or not).

Bernie Sanders channels John Kerry’s “Private jets are the only option for somebody like him”

In late April, @DanielTurnerPTF highlighted the hypocrisy of the actions of socialists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders.

Private jets. Multiple homes. Motorcades. The people preaching the loudest about #EarthDay are the biggest hypocrites.

I followed Turner’s X post up with my contention, “For their next performance, they'll channel @JohnKerry and justify private jets as ‘the only choice for somebody like [them].’ It never was about the environment; it always was about control.”

Soon after that, Bernie proved my point for me when he appeared on Fox News to discuss his willingness to use private jets to get around during his “Fighting the Oligarchy Tour.”
