I talk with Lucy Ann Lance on Ann Arbor's talk station WLBY 1290 about how the Biden Administration and auto manufacturers have been forced to pull back on their EV expectations
It’s interesting how Toyota has been derided for not doing more with EVs, but hydrogen is far cleaner solution. I think their strategy will be recognized as the wise one. The question is how hydrogen is going to be available readily. But if it is a hybrid solutions that offers something more viable.
Right. Hydrogen is cleaner-burning, but we currently make hydrogen from reforming natural gas (rather than the much more energy intensive hydrolisis option that a lot of green energy advocates pretend happens).
On that note, it would just make more sense to use the natural gas than reforming it under heat and pressure into hydrogen.
And Toyota has been pilloried for not jumping on the EV bandwagon, but they're also out in front on solid state battery tech and on new ICE options like I talked about with Lucy Ann in the interview.
