If there was a way to take away fossil fuels for a week, a lifetime of education would take place. The crazy liberals in office in Michigan are truly insane.
I have heard many people say that we should shut down fossil fuels for a week. In the past, I have responded, explaining that doing that would get people killed.
Unfortunately, elected officials, like Dana Nessel, Gretchen Whitmer, and Joe Biden, along with numerous utility executives, are not planning to take them away for only a week. They are actively working to take them away for good.
But, we get results like what happened in Spain on April 28 if and when they are effective at achieving that goal.
There is no argument for what you’ve said, you’re definitely right it would cause total chaos. I’m just “ stating” the people advocating for the removal of them are sick and demented. It is the primary reason we live in comfort and safety. They just want control over our lives and they probably actually believe all the decades of climate catastrophe claims that have NEVER come true.
Exactly. And, to confirm, I wasn’t accusing you of anything. I completely understand the question you’re asking (“what would people do if they did have their supply of energy and products from fossil fuels cut off for a week”). It’s the right question to ask because people should stop and think what a fossil fuel-free world would look like for humanity (hint: it would be rough - back to a near-Hobbesian state, where life is “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.")
I am just constantly amazed that, when that question is posed to some elected officials, green groups, and utility executives, they still want to blindly push forward with cutting off the energy supplies that are essential for human flourishing, even though doing that would be a death sentence for billions. It does increasingly look like a sickness or some sort of death cult mentality.
Yep…and go after Michigan for every fossil fuel vehicle manufactured in that state and shipped to every other state and country. Call it a “lifetime climate tax” on Michigan that other state can take from the Michigan state treasury.
Crazy ideas that result in actionable outcomes have lifetime results and most of these ideas are simply cash grabs veiled in non-existential lies.
As children…some of us remember reading the folk tale “Henny Penny” about the sky falling with the fear of everyone dying. The folk tale highlights that others were willing to capitalize on the unfounded fear and “grab” even the lives of others.
Since we’re unable to learn from a simple folk tale…we’re becoming the outcome of what was written long ago.
I fear you’re correct. Ironically, we have refused to learn from the old saying that “those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” How many times in the past have “elites” enforced a system of privation and want on the masses while they remained well fed and comfortable? Why would we willingly go down that same road again?
